Successfully completed with 2nd class Hons with 3.2 GPA and completed my final year research project about the Evaluating the Production of Fertilizer from Spoiled Dairy Products as a Soil Amendment This research explores the potential of utilizing spoiled non-flavored yogurt as an organic soil amendment. The study assessed microbial contamination and nutrient changes, and investigated the use of biochar (from tea waste) to create a fertilizer. Key analyses included Total Plate Count, Coliforms, Yeast and Mold Colony Forming Units, and heavy metal concentrations. The results demonstrated that biochar effectively reduced pathogenic microbes and heavy metal levels, while enhancing the nutrient profile of the yogurt-based fertilizer. These findings suggest that spoiled dairy products can be repurposed sustainably for soil enhancement. I am currently working on publishing these results.
